4 Blue SOLE work – Money week

The SOLE group in 4 Blue have put in a lot of effort to create an informative poster to explain and what they have learnt for their SOLE project. Their big question was:“Why do companies carry out surveys on their products?”

The SOLE project enjoyed working as a team and working towards this tricky challenge!

The group first looked at what a survey was and why this is useful. They then looked at well-known brands and researched the different types of surveys they may carryout. From this, they picked out key questions about what to ask people in their own survey for their chosen product.

Using this data, the group created tally and bar charts to display this information. Children analysed the data and surveys and used this to create a specific product (a chocolate chip muffin which helps you lose weight!).

Next,  children researched different packaging which would hopefully maximise sales. They used persuasive features to ensure more people would buy this product.

Hopefully, the SOLE group understands the importance of carrying out a survey and how this information helps to create a final product. Also, the more work that is put into this, the better the product will be!
