Class 5 Blue Blog5 Blue unravelling the unknown adventures

5 Blue Science week, day 1

Today has been an intense day of  exploring the five layers of the oceans.

Watch the video below showcasing Day One of science week.

Who can remember what the 5 layers of the ocean are?

Which animals live in which layer?

Why is photosynthesis an important process in the sunlight zone?

What layer would I find bioluminescent marine species in and why?

  1. The sunlight zone, twilight zone, hadal zone and abyss zone.
A sea turtle, jellyfish, sharks live in the sunlight zone, copods, crabs live in the twilight zone, algae, anemons, anglerfish, crustaceans live in the midnight zone.

  2. The five layers are sunlight zone, twilight zone,Midnight zone, the abyss zone and the hadal zone.
Turtle, fish and shark live in the sunlight zone .jelly fish and sting ray live in the twilight zone. Angler fish and octopus live in the midnight zone.A few fish is live her in the Abyss zone.starfish live n the hadal zone.

  3. The five layers of the ocean are sunlight zone, twighlifht zone, midnight zone,Abyys zone and Hadal zone.
In the sunlight zone sea turtles and sharks live in that zone.
The animals that live in the midnight zone are Anglerfish and goldfish.

  4. The five layers are The Sunlight zone ,The Twilight zone,The Mid night zone,TheAbyss zone and The Hadal zone.thankyou for teaching my.😉😉😀😀😀

  5. The 5 layers are the sunlight zone the twilight zone , midnight zone , the abyss zone and finally the hadal zone.

A snipe eel lives in the twilight zone.

You would find bioluminescence animals in abyss and midnight you wouldn’t find them in any other layers.

  6. 1.the 5 layers of the ocean are sunlight zone, twilight zone, midnight zone, abyss zone and hadal zone.

2.sunlight has tuna, seals and turtles, Twilight has sword fish, box jelly fish and puffer fish, midnight has goblin sharks , blob fish and yeti crabs.

3.photosynthesis an important process in the sunlight because the sea creatures would need food.

  7. 1). Sunlight zone (1000m). 2) Sea turtles, seals,fish
Twilight zone (2000m). Giant squid, sharks
    Midnight zone (5000m) Angler fish
Abyss zone. (8000m) Sea cucumber , crustaceans
    Hadal zone. (10000m)

    3) You would find bioluminescent types of sea creatures in the midnight and abyss zone because there is no light in those areas . You wouldn’t find them in the hadal zone because the water pressure would crush them.

    • 4) photosynthesis is useful in the sunlight zone beacause it helps to grow corals and plants which could be used for a source of food.

  8. 1) the 5 layers in the ocean are called The Sunlight zone , The Twilight zone, Midnight zone, The Abyys zone and The Hadal zone.
2)The animals that live in the Sunlight zone are sharks and sea turtles. In the Twilight zone there are squids. In the Midnight zone there are anglerfish. In the Abyys zone there are jelly fish and octopus, and in the Hadal zone you can find sea worms.

Photosynthesis is important so the animals in the sunlight zone can have mor food and light.
I think u might find the Bioluminescent in the Midnight or the Abyys zone.

  9. The five layers of the ocean are sunlight, twilight, midnight, abyss and the hadal zone those are the five layers of the ocean

In the first layer there is sharks
In the second layer there are bioluminescent

  10. 1)The 5 layers are The sunlight zone , The twilight zone , The midnight zone The abyss and The had also zone.

    2) The animals live in the layers are the first one is sharp fish, ocean and starfish.

  11. The sunlight twilight midnight abyss hadal zones
The dolfins and seels live in the sunlight zone.
The animals that live in the midnight zone are the dumbo octopus and the blind shrimps.

      • In The Sunlight Zone, there are many animals such as sharks, tuna, mackerel, jellyfish and seel.Examples of Twilight Zone animals include algae, coelacanths, copepods, crabs and other crustaceans, ctenophores, dinoflagellates and dragonfish.

  12. The five layers of the ocean are The Sunlight Zone, The Twilight Zone, The Midnight Zone, The Abyss Zone and The Hadal Zone.

In The Sunlight Zone, there are many animals such as sharks, tuna, mackerel, jellyfish and seel.Examples of Twilight Zone animals include algae, coelacanths, copepods, crabs and other crustaceans, ctenophores, dinoflagellates and dragonfish. Midnight Zone creatures include algae, anemones, anglerfish, arrow worm, cookie-cutter shark, copepods, crabs and other crustaceans. In The Abyss Zone, you would find anglerfish, deep-sea jellyfish, deep sea shrimp, cookiecutter shark, tripod fish, and abyssal octopus also known as the dumbo octopus. Finally, creatures that lurk in The Hadal Zone include Amphipods, Decapods, Rat-Tail Fish, Liparid Fish and Challenger Deep.

Photosynthesis is an important process in The Sunlight Zone as it provides food for the species of animals that spawn in The Sunlight Zone.

You would find bioluminescent marine animals in The Midnight Zone and beyond.

  13. Who can remember what the 5 layers of the ocean are? starfish , fish and the fish.

Which animals live in which layer? A Red-Eyed Tree Frogs, Howler Monkey.

Why is photosynthesis an important process in the sunlight zone?
Photosynthesis is the process by which organisms convert light energy into chemical energy.

    • Interesting imagination Ilhan, maybe you could use your book in school to help you retrieve the correct facts to answer the questions above.
