‘A Monster Calls’ – Cinema

Year 6 had the opportunity to visit the cinema to watch the film ‘A Monster Calls’.

They had a wonderful time and were emotional at the end…. a sad ending…

Year 6 would like to say a huge thank you to Mrs Frankish for letting them go and starting the Christmas Season.

Thank you Nithusha for creating a fun and enjoyable video.

Well done Year 6 your behaviour was great.

WhatΒ  did you enjoy about the film and why?

What was your least favourite part and why?

What was the message/moral of the film?

I enjoyed the film as it was very fun and very emotional in some parts. I enjoyed the part when they were telling the stories that related to Connors life and people who were involved during the tragedy of his mom dying. I didn’t like when Connors mom died when falling off the clip. I think the moral of this story is to have faith in yourself and always be positive.

My favourite part of the film was when the monster told the animated stories to conner. However my least favourite part was when Conners mum died from cancer and he and his Grandma was watching her die every second. This was a very sad moment in the movie, since Conner was so connected to his mum. His nightmare came true and his mother died from cancer unfortunately.

I enjoyed the scaryπŸ‘ΉπŸ˜± monster when he was telling the stories to Connor because it was like loads of short animations in the motive I also lovedπŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™ the sound effects when the monster walks. My least favourite part was when Connor’s mum died of cancer it was so sadπŸ˜πŸ’¦πŸ’§πŸ’¦.I think the moral was to just let things goπŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’” because at the end of the moive the boy was too stressed and wanted it all to stop so he let his mum pass away peacefully πŸŒΉπŸ’πŸ’€πŸ˜‡

I enjoyed the part where the monster came to life and went to Conner’s house. Because it actually really looked real . I didn’t like the end of the movie because that’s the part where Connors mother unfortunately died from cancer. The moral is to always be strong when something bad has happened to someone.

I loved the film nearly everybody at the end felt emotional becuase the Conner mum died.I didn’t like it where the part was that he was breaking his grandma’s furniture.

I really enjoyed it when the Tree Monster was telling the stories as it was like another cartoon.
I liked all of the film, I don’t have a least favourite part.
The moral is to control anger, or bad things will happen.

I enjoyed the scene when the tree turned into a monster because it makes the movie more interesting. The least part that I enjoyed was when the mother died because it was very depressing and I do not like depressing scenes. The message of the film is to not think you are invisible.

    A monster calls
What I enjoyed about the film is that when it got to the action bit I got really exited because it was really good.
My least favourite bit of the movie was the ending because I assumed that it would be happy but it ended up with someone dying.
I think that the moral of the story was that to be grateful for what you have and don’t always hide the truth from anyone.

I loved the film because nearly everyone could feel and see how much emotion was in it.My least favourite part was when the monster first cane to sight because it looked really frightening and it was really loud(because of the speakers)I think the moral/message of this film to respect anyone in your family because there your family and you wouldn’t be able to do anything without them especially your momπŸ˜₯

I enjoyed the part where the monster told Conner some stories because the stories looked like they were animated. Also I like it when Conner’s grandma was kind yo Conner.I also didn’t like the part where he broke his grandma’s furniture because that wasn’t his furniture the furniture was his grandma’s.I didn’t like it when Conner’s mum had cancer because Conner had to live with his grandma for a few days. The moral of the film was that to not believe your dreams because if you do you will have a bad ending to your life.
