The Coventry Young Ambassador Japan Conference will take place on Friday 16th March at the AT7 Centre in Coventry.  This exciting event is to start preparing for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo 2020. Children attending this conference will have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of cultural and sport workshops linked to Japan and the Olympic Games.

Activities will include manga art, calligraphy, origami, ikebana, taiko drumming and martial arts.  The children will create an action plan of sporting and cultural events that they would like to lead across the city. The children who attend the conference will also have the opportunity to train to be a Coventry Young Ambassador representing Coventry at major events.

The event will include a welcome speech from the Minister from the Embassy of Japan and Noel Thatcher MBE at 9.30am. We will have a live link to the Olympic Association in Tokyo. We will also be live streaming the event so that you will be able to see some of activities taking place. More details of this will follow.

All children should wear their PE kit, school jumper and bring a packed lunch. A packed lunch will be provided if your child has a school dinner. Please ensure your child is in school at 8.30am as we will be leaving at 8.40am.

Any questions, please feel free to speak to me.
