Children return to school Mon 8th April

Today the school nurses visited year 5 and spoke with them about being anxious and stressed.

We spoke about what makes us anxious and stressed.

We also looked at ways we can cope with this.

What makes you stressed or anxious?

How can you cope and deal with stress and anxiety?

How does your body feel when you are worried?

What is adrenaline? Why does our body produce this? What part does it pay in fight or flight?

Why is it important to get enough sleep?

I get stressed when I am doing my spelling test and I don’t know if I got the answers right or not.

  2. I get stressed when the teacher checks your homework and you have to make sure it is up to a good standard.

It is important to get enough sleep because then we will not feel very sleepy when we go to school
