Unser toller tag in fünf rot – our great day in five red
In 5Red today we have been investigating Germany.
We covered many different aspects of life in Germany. Here are some things we have achieved today.
Geography – we used an atlas to find out where in Europe was Germany. This lead to many discussions about population and cultural differences.
Music – by listening and comparing our national anthem to that of Germany’s we were able to hear the instrumental differences and vocabulary from each was equally different.
Dance – we found that a traditional dance of Germany was Schuhplattler. This was very difficult however we showed resilience and produced a great video.
History – Germany has a varied and complicated history so we expanded on our previous knowledge of the wars and delve into the divide of East and West Germany.
Language – we have been learning the language of Germany (German) throughout all lessons, although we did have a whole lesson on conversations in german. Watch our video to see if you can learn from us.
Food – after a whole day of investigating an amazing country it only seemed right to also look at the food Germans eat. We had a taste of Germany with Pretzels and Strog.
