1 Blue-Well-being Day

We commenced our day by thinking about what we are grateful for and learning some basic yoga poses. We focused on balance and having a positive mindset. We also listened to some calming music to help us produce some mindfulness artwork. We decorated a leaf using a cotton bud and paint in autumnal colours. Some of us enjoyed this so much we also used felt pens to decorate a second leaf!

The children then used different skills with a gymnastics session which focused on balancing and rolling. The children gained many new skills and lots even mastered forward rolls and bridges. What talented children you are!

Creating Picasso inspired portraits using natural items in the forest area and going a ‘Go Find It’ hunt!

During the afternoon we continued to think about how being positive can help our well-being. The children picked a name from the bowl and thought about something positive to say about the person.
We also continued to develop our interpersonal skills (sharing and being kind).

  1. Wow year one I don’t even know what to say about our Well-being day today. The videos and photos shows all the evidence of you all using different skills including our Broad Heath values too. Everyone took part in so many different activities today and we all had so much fun. Well done to all the teachers and children for making it a lovely day.
Looking forward to our project week all about India.
