This week for project week we have been learning about G7. It’s a group of 7 countries that meet once a year to discuss the world’s biggest problems and how they can be solved.
We have been inspired by these nations and how they work together to make the world a better place. We have been thinking about ways we can help the environment, to show respect to our planet and building on our knowledge by taking part in an election for a our class leader.
To enhance our learning we have focused on the country Germany. We have been learning phrases, similarities and differences between the UK and Germany, where these two countries are on the map, the seasons our country has during the year. But we have also been very creative by designing Alpine hats and learnt German folk dancing.
We have had so much fun! Hope you have fun watching what we have been up to!
CHALLENGE 1 Red: How can we help to save the environment? What was your favourite activity of the week?
Challenge 2: From Mrs Raja Khan
1. How old was Mrs Patel when the Berlin Wall built?
2. When was the Berlin Wall destroyed?
3. Where is Berlin?
We have also been listening to various Fairy tales written originally by the German Brothers Grimm. We were so lucky to have a special visitor Cat to lead a drama workshop of Hansel and Gretel – What a bunch of superstars in 1 Red!
