Super effort Yalda. You currently have 20 out of 24
Q17: Have a look again.
Q19: Once you get to 4.9 and add 0.1 what happens to the ones?
Q24: You have added 9 hundredths (0.09) not 9 tenths (0.9).

Thank you. Firstly say hi to Chanelle for me.
With you work you scored 13 out of 24. To get a few more marks, answer these questions again.
Q5: Try doing 30×8 + 4×8 + ???
Q6: How many 4 are in 72? You know ten 4s are 40 and double 40 is 80.
Q21: Dividing by 100 means you need to move a number 2 places down the place value chart, so tens become tenths and ones become hundredths.
Q22: Similar, but tens become ones and ones become tenths.

4 out of 10.

• Mr Carter

You have only done questions 1-10 Rayyan. Please do the rest.
With these, you have a few errors as you only got 4 out of 10. Please make sure you look at the operation.
Q2: You’ve added when it is a subtraction calculation.
Q3: Recalculate
Q5: Do 30×8 + 4×8 = ???
Q8: You have added the fractions when it is a subtraction question.

Come on, more concentration and stop assuming that everything is adding.
Q10: You’ve added when it is a subtraction calculation.

12. Rasan M.

I did it my mum will send it to you.

• Mr Carter

I have just sent an email back. You scored 19 out of 24. I have given you some tips on the ones your got wrong.

I have done it and I will send it.

16.24

• Mr Carter

You have 16 out of 24, which is an OK score, but you should have scored more. Make sure you look at which operation you should be doing.
Try these questions again, following my advice.
Q4: You have added, not subtracted.
Q5: You have only done 30×8, you need to add 4×8 to that as well.
Q6: How many 4 go into 72?
Q8: You have added the fractions not subtracted.
Q15: You are a little way off with this. Do in chunks – 500×5 + 60×5 + 2×5 = ???
Q16: Us a similar method as above.
Q23: This is only 1 quarter, you are asked for 3.
Q24: You need to recalculate.

You have got yourself 3 more marks. I still think you should have got question 23 correct. If 1/4 = 2 then 3/4 = 6.

15. My mum has sent my test to you.

16. Silver
3/4 of 8 =6
Half of 8 is 4
Quarter of 8 is 2
3 × 2 = 6

• Mr Carter

Excellent explanation. I have marked you test and you scored 19 out of 24 which is super. I have given you some pointers on how to get a few more points in an email to your mum.

• Mr Carter

Thank you, I have replied and I would like you to try some of the questions again. Ask you mum which ones please.

20. Merab R.

silver-chose a question and explain how you answer it.
My question is…
23)3/4 of 8.
I answered it by doing 8 divided by the denominator(4) and then I did the answer which was 2 times the numerator(3) and the answer I got was 6.

• Mr Carter

WOW WOW WOW! You got 24 out of 24. I have removed your answers so no-one can copy you!
