  1. With your adult, play the game Simon Says using our key vocabulary ‘before‘ and ‘after‘ and upload a video to the link at the bottom of the blog. See examples below:

Simon says clap your hands before touching your toes. Simon says touch your nose after doing a half turn.

2. Put the days of the week below in the correct order in your homework book:

Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday, Monday, Sunday, Wednesday, Friday

3. Tell an adult what you did yesterday using morning, afternoon and evening.

Challenge:

Write sentences about the days of the week using the vocabulary, before and after. Example- Tuesday is before Wednesday.

  1. What was your recount about?
    The Zoo
    What did they do on their activity?
    They went to a shop to buy food and they went to nocturnal house then they saw birds and reptiles, then they went to see elephants, then they went to eat yummy sandwiches and went home.
    Did they enjoy their day?
    Yes because it says we had a fantastic day.
    What did you like or not like about your recount?
    It’s got so many animals.

    Activity 1 we did verbaly.
    Activity 2, 3 and challenge in homework book.
    English
    My recount was about the zoo.
    They bought food for animals and visited the birds and different animals , then ate sandwiches and came back home.
    Yes they enjoy their day.
    I liked to visit the animals.
    Computing
    I played the game.
    PSHE
    I am really excited to go into year 2. I know I will learn new skills . I will learn new things with new teachers.

  8. I have uploaded my days of the week.
    In the morning, I played with my toys.
    In the afternoon, I ate dinner.
    In the evening, I watched the tablet before sleeping.
    I have done the Education City reading comprehension.
    In year 2 I am excited about swimming.

  9. I have uploaded my English, Maths and PSHE videos and pictures. I have completed my Education City and I got 100% and completed my computing work.

  15. Emil has completed Maths, English, Computing and PSHE we have shared videos and pictures to the sharepoint. He has also done the challenge on Education city with a score of 100%.

  17. PSHE
    Faris didn’t want to do a video so we discussed year 2 instead. He said he was excited about swimming lessons and really looking forward to it and he’s a little worried about the work in year 2 and if it will be too hard but I’ve reassured him and tried to put him at ease.

  18. English
    I couldn’t get Faris to write his answers to his recount questions so we talked about it instead:
    1. The recount was about a pig looking for food because he was hungry.
    2. The pig kept falling over and crashing into things when he was looking for food.
    3. I don’t think he enjoyed his day because he didn’t find any food so he was still hungry.
    4. I didn’t like it because the pig couldn’t find any food to eat.

    I’ve uploaded Faris’s days of the week.
    Faris said : In the morning I had my breakfast.
    In the afternoon I played on the playstation and in the evening, I played with Anis and Haitham before bedtime.

  22. Jari missed this as I was dropping his brother off at nursery, I shall try to arrive home more quickly on the other days. He shall also miss the Wednesday session as I start a course at 9.30.
