1W G7 Week – Germany

All countries in the G7 are democracies. This means people must vote for their leader. To begin the week, we had our own 1W election to decide on the leader of our class. Congratulations Dominik! We then learnt some German phrases and explored using atlases.

CHALLENGE: Which continent are the UK and Germany part of?

We sketched portraits of Germany’s leader, Angela Merkel.

We learnt about the 4 seasons in Germany and how the weather changes. Check out our show…

CHALLENGE: Name the 4 seasons. What can you tell me about each season?u

With Mrs Raja-Khan, we learnt about the Berlin Wall. We thought about how we would feel if we were separated from our friends unfairly.

CHALLENGE FOR MRS RAJA-KHAN:

1. How old was Mrs Patel when the Berlin Wall built?
2. When was the Berlin Wall destroyed?
3. Where is Berlin?

Today, we looked at the effect pollution has on our environment with Mrs Morris. We began to make changes ourselves by litter picking around our school with Mrs Patel.

We created posters and recycling signs. Here are the Green group to tell you a little more…

We also recycled tin cans and turned them into pencil pots.

The UK and German are essential for Europe.
There are 4 seasons. They are harvest time, summer, winter and spring.
In harvest time the passes on starts to fall. In the colder time of year it begins to snow. In spring blossoms begin to develop. In summer, it gets extremely blistering.
We can assist with saving the climate by strolling or riding a bicycle as opposed to going in a vehicle. Likewise we can get litter from the floor so our planet can remain clean.

The UK and German are part of Europe.

There are 4 seasons. They are autumn, summer, winter and spring.
In autumn the leaves begins to fall. In the winter it starts to snow. In spring flowers start to grow. In summer, it gets very hot.

We can help save the environment by walking or riding a bike instead of going in a car. Also we can pick up litter from the floor so our planet can stay clean.

Winter very cold and snowing weather
Spring cold and trees turn pink
    And summer very hot.
To save environment you need to save planet, save ocean, save plastics bags, bottles, jars and tins.
