70p ÷ 2 equals 35p

35p + 12p equals 47p

The Chew is 35p and the Lollipop is 47p.

CHALLENGE 3

12 x 5 = 60 stickers

60 – 27 = 33 stickers

33 ÷ 3 = 11stickers

Max had given each of his friends 11 stickers each.

1)

Lee started 8 strawberries as half of 8 is 4

Lee has a square shape

2)

82p – 12p = 70p

35p + 12p = 47p

This shows that the lollipop is 47p and the chew is 35p

I done my task on Education City.

there was 8 strawberries all together

the lolly costs 70p

There are a few steps the question Redir.

Subtract 12p from the total.

Then divide (share equally) the new total between 2 (the lolly and sweet).

Then add 12p on the the cost of one of the sweets.

Challenge 1:

a.There are 8 strawberries all together.

b.The whole shape is a square.

Challenge 2:

a.The lolly costs 70 pence because you have to take away 82p minus 12p

which will give your answer 70p.

Challenge 3:

Max buys= 12 packs

1 pack= 5 stickers

Total number of stickers Max got = 12×5= 60

Stickers left = 27

Stickers given to Max’s friend= 60-27=33.

you have subtracted 12p from the total.

You need to find out the cost of the lolly.

Can you share 70 equally between 2. Then add 12p to find out the cost of the lolly.

Remember the lolly is 12p MORE than the sweets.
