2B 19.05.20 To identify the purpose of computer parts

Last week, we labelled different parts of a computer and identified items within our homes and the environment that were computerised. Let’s play a game to refresh our memory.

    A cursor is the small arrow that shows on the screen, it is used to make a selection when using a mouse.
    A mouse is a little device that you move with your hand which then moves the cursor on the screen.
    To listen to a website or programme instruction. To not disturb others with what I am listening to. To not distract others from what they are doing.

    2. Mouse. A small handled device which is moved across a flat surface to move the cursor on a computer screen.
    3. Headphones. A pair of earphones joined by a band placed over the head for listening to audio signals such as music or speech.

    A cursor is something that pops up on the screen and it is used for clicking on things.
    What is a mouse and what is it used for?
    A mouse is something that controls the cursor and it is used for moving the cursor around.
    Why would I use headphones when using a computer?
    I would use headphones when using a computer so I can listen to something privately, clearly and loud.

    A cursor is used to see were you on the screen and click it.
    A mouse is used to move the cursor, click and select functions.
    You would use headphone on a computer so you don’t disturb anyone else.
