2B English – Tues 12th – Coordination

Hi Year 2! It’s time for another two chapters of our story today. Listen carefully to Mr Gordon…

https://youtu.be/3jjJucYDTVs

Here are the pages if you would like to read by yourself…

Today we are going to be using coordination. This is where we join 2 sentences together with a coordinating conjunction. The sentences both make sense on their own BUT we can join them together to make a longer sentence.

I would like you to focus on using ‘and’, ‘but’ and ‘so.

For example, The fox had a long way to run BUT he did not stop.

CHALLENGE
Can you complete these sentences?

The Small Fox ran back to his mother and…
Mrs Fox was feeling very weak but…
The foxes heard a voice above their head and…
Badger was feeling very cross with Mr Fox but…
They needed some help so….
