2Blue – Art Around The World Week

Monday

Today, the children delved into all things India! Initially, they located India on a globe, then they labelled the seven continents on a map, and located India and England. After a while, the children explored the ‘Dhol’. They even had a go at playing a drum too. In the afternoon, the children enjoyed creating a Rangoli pattern and even had a go at creating a peacock feather!

Tuesday

The children explored hot and cold countries today, focussing on the climate in India and England. They explored a suitcase and sorted the contents based on where would be the most suitable place to wear the clothes. They did brilliantly! In the afternoon, the children sketched a lotus and even attempted to create a lotus flower using paper! Origami masters? Maybe!

Wednesday

The children compared the UK and India today. They learnt lots of new facts and in the end, they were able to complete their work independently. What superstars!

Thursday

The children created an advertisement video for you all! Would you visit India? If so, why? In the afternoon, the children made their drums!
