2Blue – This Is Me Week

What a fantastic start to the new school year, 2Blue! You have already shown brilliance, respect, empathy and creativity. It’s only Monday!
I cannot wait to see what you all achieve as the year goes by.
Well done on a brilliant first day back!

Today, the children shared lots about their holiday and what they got up to. After that, the children heard the story, The Ugly Duckling. They understood the moral of the story and were able to sequence and retell the story in their own words. They did really well!
They also painted their very own self-portrait, focussing on their skin colour. We loved sharing our differences and came to the conclusion that no matter what you look like, we are all the same. They then added their facial features to their portraits.
In the afternoon, the children took part in walking a tight rope.
