Today we are going to be using coordination. This is where we join 2 sentences together with a coordinating conjunction. The sentences both make sense on their own BUT we can join them together to make a longer sentence.

I would like you to focus on using ‘and’, ‘but’ and ‘so.

For example, The fox had a long way to run BUT he did not stop.

  • Check your sentences to make sure that they make sense before posting them.
  • Use the correct punctuation – capital letters, full stops and commas.

    The foxes heard a voice above their head and it was Fantastic Mr Foxes friend Badger and Fantastic Mr Fox was happily shocked because he had not seen Badger for a very long time.
    Badger was feeling very cross with Mr Fox because he made a wrong decision to live near humans.
    They needed some help so they could defeat the mean, ugly and horrible people who are after them.
    Fantastic Mr Fox was happy to see badger and Badger shouted FOXY! Because he was glad to see Mr Fox.

    • Lovely work Hanfaa. We are so proud of you. Don’t forget to read the instructions and complete the sentences set out first. Today, you were asked to use the conjunctions, and, but, so.

      When writing about Mr Fox’s friend, remember it is his friend so you need to use a possessive apostrophe. Great work though.

    1-Mr Fox told the small Bandger to go to the others and spread the good news.
    2- They were all too excited now to feel tired or hungry.
    3- The farmers were sitting up there on the hill waiting for the foxes to starve .

      You must remember that Mr Fox is a name, it must always have a capital letters.
