2S Writing Homework

Hi 2S!

I hope you are all having a super half-term break! Miss Smith has a special challenge for you.

In Literacy, we have been learning about information texts and nocturnal animals. I would like you to choose your favourite nocturnal animal and do some research to find out all about them.

Have a look at this video… http://www.bbc.co.uk/education/clips/zsshfg8

Use the word bank for ideas…

Nocturnal animals

When you have gathered lots of information, I would like you to write some super sentences about your nocturnal animal. I would like to see you use interesting sentence openers, as this is one of our Year 2 targets.

Here are some ideas…

  • During the day…
  • At night time…
  • Sometimes…
  • Normally…
  • If you look closely…
  • Because they need to hunt for food at night…
  • Quietly…
  • On its head…

Post your writing on the blog. I cannot wait to read your work!
