To identify how to care in our local community

Hello Year 2. I hope you are all well. We have identified a number of communities that we belong to. Today, I would like you to think about your local community. Let’s take a look at Foleshill.

How can you make a difference in your local community? Think about the people and the environment.

How did the animals who lived in this farm community help each other and make a difference?

I would like you to think about how you can make a difference in your local community. You could pick up your litter or make sure that all of your toys are put away and not left outside. You could make a card for a neighbour or a family member who is not feeling well, Have a think and draw a picture that explains your way of helping. It doesn’t matter how small. All the small acts add up together and will improve your community.

2 white reading all theses comments has made me feel so proud. We’re all in very difficult times at the moment with not being able to go out but it makes me so happy that you’ve all really thought about how you could do things to help people in your local community as well as keeping it clean and tidy. Well done everyone.

If the animals worked as a team the work would be less to do. No one would get hurt or fall ill.

I think we could throw less rubbish on the street and recycle stuff. Keep wearing masks and wash hands every 20 seconds. And stay safe home with family. Feed the poor and prepare food for those who can’t afford food. And if we all care and share will help the community, it doesn’t matter what reglion or culture you are!

Haroon, this comment made me so proud! Recycling is so important to help care for our environment. I love that you mentioned how we are all equal in the community. It is so important that we work together as a team. Good lad! You are a great BH citizen!

I would help people if they are are poor so I will give them food or money.
I would pick up litter if they are on the floor I will put in the bin.

How can you make a difference in your local community?
I can make a difference to the community by helping them prepare for a event to something to raise charity.

    1. Miss Smith

What a great idea Abdullah! This is something for us to think about when we return to school. Are there any charities you would like to raise money for?

I can make a difference in my local community by making my house clean and not putting any rubbish on the road. I can help sick people get there shopping.
The animals helped each other by taking care of each other and making it easy by working together so the work is done quicker.

Great Ali! I agree – we can all make a difference by ensuring we don’t drop litter.

  9. Aisha A.

To help the community I would give and help to prepare food for the sick. I would pick up and remove objects from the floor so people do not fall. I would help the needy and poor. If I see fly-tipping in the community I would tell my parents to report it. I would go to my neighbours and if they feel lonely I would speak to them and help them with their shopping.

Aisha these are lovely ideas. You are a very caring young lady!

How did the animals who lived in this farm community help each other and make a difference?
Dory the cat caught the naughty mice to make sure they wouldn’t be up to any mischief.
Robbin the donkey carried the luggage to make it easier for other people.
Dennis the horse fixed the car so people could travel easily.
All the farm animals worked hard.
All the animals helped make Jack better.
When Jack learnt his lesson he, took Dory’s little brother to the well and took Dorothy’s eggs to the market.
