Over the last 2 days 3 Blue have been busy creating their STEAM project! Their challenge was to create a skipping rope using ONLY plastic bags and sellotape!
Have a look at the video below to see the fantastic results.
We had so much fun designing and creating our skipping ropes.
Which material was the best for your skipping rope?
What technique did you use to make your skipping rope stronger? Why did you use this technique?

1. The best material was the bin bag
2. We you’d bin bag’s and more bag’s and tape
I used carrier bags to make a skipping rope.
We used 3 bags and attached them together.
The sello – tape worked the best because it kept the plastic bags (which is the skipping ropes we made) strong.
We kept putting sello – tape and started repeating the same thing on the plastic baby’s.
I would tell someone to take the handles off and then keep putting on sello – tape and start repeating and in once you finish you can test it out.
I youse carrier dag to make our skippingrope.

Make it stronger
1.Fabric because it was not heavy .
2.We braded ours because it makes it stronger
3.plan it and test out stuff.research uswell
I am so glad that we had finally done our work🤩
1) The best material was plastic and fabric.
2) We added lots of tape to bits of the rope so it would be less lighter and would add more weight.
3) Make it thick and add lots of tape.
Plastic bags because it was the only material that we had.
The best technique was wrapping tape around the ropes to make it stronger but slimmer.
I suggest is that you make sure everything is secure because you could try and skip, and it could break like it did with someone else’s skipping rope!
