Yesterday 3 Blue visited a Temple on Stoney Stanton Road. they looked at the art work as well as learning about Hinduism and their Gods.

    What did you learn about Hinduism?
    I learnt that when it is the monsoon time it starts to rain heavily and they still have to walk 3 miles to get some water from the river and they get very tired. It takes 1 hour to walk 3 miles. There are ten top best artists in India and one of them is Arpita Singh.
    What does Aum mean?
    This symbol means Brahman. Hindus believe Brahman exists in everything that is alive. But they can’t see Brahman, so instead Hindus use a symbol to show it. Hindus use the Aum symbol every day. Hindus begin every day and every journey by saying ‘Aum’. They also put the symbol at the top of any letters they send. Lots of Hindus wear the Aum symbol on a necklace, as they believe it will protect them.
    Describe Indian art.
    Indian art is very colourful, beautiful and some are shiny. They take a very long time to do their drawing because they want it to look beautiful.
    They take their time to draw so it looks beautiful. They also take their time to draw so it looks realistic and they don’t want it to look babyish.

    I have learnt that Hindus have more than one god.

    Aum, is the most sacred symbol in Hinduism.

    Indian art is handmade, stitched, it has details and it is colourful.

    What did you learn about Hinduism?
    We learnt that Hindus have many gods, they have a bell inside the temple and they wash their hands before they go in. We learnt about the story about the monkey.

    What does Aum meant?
    I think it means good luck.

    Describe Indian Art?
    Indian Art takes a long time to make and looks beautiful.
