3 Blue’s Cracking Conkers Trip!

Today we enjoyed a lovely coach trip to Conkers! We entered a world of adventure and discovery and learnt more about our topic of early settlers. We did some fantastic indoor and outdoor activities such as making shelters using logs, sticks, and anything we could find in the forest, lighting fires and roasting marshmallows, we went on a hunt through the beautiful, serene Greenland to find answers to our questions using a clipboard and pen, cave painting using our finger tips, a LOUD music lesson which involved sticks made of bark and creating marvellous music and sounds! The entire year 3 staff are so proud of your participation and the way in which you conducted yourselves as brilliant students of Broad Heath. You displayed fantastic values such as kindness, teamwork, brilliance, resilience and individuality through your expression. How lucky are we to have caught and experienced a small glimpse of how the early settlers used to live and survive back in the days!

Let’s see who can remember the answer to these questions?
What is the name of the famous Stone Age building that still exists today?
What are arrowheads made of?
What were instruments made of?

Have a look at some mind blowing memories we created today.
