Hello everyone,
We have some exciting news. On Monday 22nd May 2023, Year 3 will be having an Egyptian Day. Over the past few weeks we have been learning about life in Ancient Egyptian times. The aim of this day is to help the children experience some culture from this period. We would like all children to dress up as an Egyptian as it helps to embed their learning and makes the day more enjoyable. The costumes can be home made. Children could make their own head dresses, they could even be a mummy! Also some of the costumes used for Roman day could be accessorised differently to make them Egyptian. Please see me if you need any ideas.
We would like to ask one more thing to help us make this day special. If every child could donate a roll of toilet paper that would be amazing as we are going to have a go at mummifying ourselves! We will see who can replicate the ones we seen in the Museum!
Thank you
Miss Redhead

An idea from Miss Redhead is use a paper plate and paint it yellow, add some sparkles and you will have made a necklace.
