3B. 13.05.20 Home Learning Maths.

Today’s learning is all about learning to tell the time. Here’s some videos to help you learn. Learning to tell the time can be a huge challenge and its important that you persevere and find lots of opportunity to practise this skill.

Today’s a bit of a creative one. Your job is to make your own clock. It needs to have hands that you can move around.

There are loads of ways you can do this:

  • Use paper, pens and scissors.
  • Use chalk and sticks from the garden or park.
  • Use a plate and spoons.
  • Any other creative way of making a clock.
  • If you really are stuck you can use this website https://www.visnos.com/demos/clock

Here is a video that shows you how I made a clock out of paper.

Once you’ve got your clock sorted try to make these times. Then watch the video to check your answers.

  • five past four
  • 25 past one
  • half past seven
  • 20 to five
  • quarter to four
  • 25 to one

    • Well done Maryam, can you send in a photo?
I started watching a cartoon at 10 past 9. It finished 35 minutes later, so the minute hand was pointing at the 10.

      Am I correct? Explain why.

    • Gufran good girl for letting us know that you can’t do it. Please watch the video again and draw a clock. Try to find 1/2 in the circle.
Ask your parents to support you Gufran and we are here to help you too.
