Ron arrives at the train station at 7:20 we are not told if it’s a.m (morning) or p.m (afternoon)!
I think that Ron will catch the Leeds train that arrives at 7:31pm and leaves at 7:35pm, considering that it is 7:20 pm when he arrives, this allows him 15 minutes to spare.
Second choice can be the Edinburgh train which arrives at 8.00 am, and leaves at 8:20 am, so if he has arrived at 7:20 am this would be a possibility, but it’s a very long wait and not very likely.
London is not possible, and Manchester is a very long wait.
WOW great thinking and reasoning!
True or false?
When telling the time on a digital clock, the larger the first number the later in the day it is.
Explain how you know.
The higher the number the later it will be, and when it it hits 23:59 it will turn from night to morning 00:00, 00:01 then 1:00, 2.00 etc, although it will still be dark at that time in the morning. Its like walking up the stairs you go higher as you go up and eventually when you get to the top you turn and go back down.

Maths analogue and digital
1. A clock or watch is called analogue when it has moving hands and usually hours marked from 1 to 12 to show you the time. Some have Roman numerals instead, or no numbers at all!
2. A digital clock is a type of clock that displays the time digitally, as opposed to an analogue clock, where the time is indicated by the positions of rotating hands. Digital clocks are often associated with electrical drives, but the digital description refers only to display, not to the drive mechanism.

True or false?
When telling the time on a digital clock, the larger the first number the later in the day it is.
Explain how you know.
Yes this is true if on a digital clock it is showing 24hour. For example digital could show 13:00 Which is later in the day and on an analog clock would show one o’clock.

I think the watch is showing the time in afternoon, because looking at the timetable for the trains, the nearest train that will arrive at 7.31pm, and Ron’s watch is showing he’s arrived at the train station at 7.20, so I make Ron’s time to be 7.20pm and not am. I also think he will take the Leeds train.
Super star for completing all your challenges. Well done Faizan!
Great work!
Is this the only train he could be catching? Explain your answer.
Mrs Khaliq, I think he can also catch the Edinburgh trading as-well because the clock could be switched to am, so if he arrives at 7.20, we could say it’s 7.20 am and the Edinburgh Tain arrives at 8.00 am and leaves at 8.20 am. So he could catch the Edinburgh train.
