4 English Blue – English learning journey review

 

Looking at our English journey from this half term, write down what you have learnt and how you know you have made progress in a particular area.

Now we have finished this journey, what are your next steps for learning?

What else can we do to our learning journey to help your learning for the future? What  was the purpose of the ‘red bug’?

    Putting capital letters correctly in my writing and more punctuation in my writing.
    My next step is to put more details in my writing and getting my spellings right in my handwriting.putting more fronted adverbial phrases for our future and putting more adverbs,verbs.I need to improve handwriting in my books ,figurative language and more prepositions.i learnt that an adverb describes a verb.

    My next step is I need to use a bit more adverbs and metaphors in my writing. I have improved on my use of multi-clause sentences. Before getting ready for bed, the children brushed there teeth as they had eaten a lot of chocolate.
    I think that I have improved on my use of verbs and nouns. I need to improve on my use of adverbs and personification.
    The purpose of the red bug is to help you remember what you need to include in your writing. I can use subordinating conjunctions. Like when,as and if.

    I can now use commas to separate two clauses and I can use surbordinating conjunctions like if as. I now know how to use figurative language in a historical setting. I have learnt how to use inverted commas when writing speech.

    My next step is to use other synonyms for said and to use more prepositional phrases.my next step is to use commas to separate two adjectives.my next step is to use powerful verbs and adjectives.

    My next step is to use figurative language.
    My next step is to use more complex sentences and use coordinating and subordinating conjunctions.
    My next step is to put more capital letters and full stops.
    I think I’ve worked hard by using figurative language and I’ve made progroess by using the correct amount of figurative language and tried my best.
    I need to improve my handwriting.
    I’ve learnt all about the Anglo Saxons and made sure my sentence makes sense.
    I’ve learnt how to use capital letters and full stops in an accurate way for etc
    I went to the shops and I bought some sweets.

    Our next steps are to look at our mistakes and improve our mistakes we made a long time ago by adding more verbs ,more adverbs and more personification.

    In the future we could add some nouns and some sentence openers to the learning journey so other children improve their work and when someone ask’s you a question you know it.Also so they have more detailed sentences.

    The purpose of the red bug is to help us with our adverbs and verbs so we have
    more description when we are describing the character or describing a noun.Also it is there for helping people use more personification in there sentence.

    We have learnt how to use punctuation for inverted commas correctly.We learnt how to use prepositional openers at the front of sentences.

    Rebeca has improved in her capital letters and her hand writing and in ordering stories.
    Khadija has improved to gather useful vocabulary for an explantion text

    and to use cause and effects lauguage correctly.Rebeca could be better at role playing and acting plays Khadija could be better at writing historical settings.
    We could but sentences which fronted adverbial and subordinating conjunctions.
    The purpose of the red bugs are beacause they tell us about pun cation.

    Our next step for our learning is to check our work, use types or fronted adverbials and use more causal conjunction and also use more figurative language in your paragraphs of writing.Use adverbs,powerful verbs.The red bug helps us/me to think of figurative language.We learnt that figurative language makes the reader interested more in the book.and I have learnt that without figurative language the story would be boaring.

    I have improved my work by using prepstion openers for example inside the pretty cottage or beneath the silver clouds and beyond the green lush grass.

    I think the learning journey helps me with my work when I am struggling.

    I have learnt how to use personification appropriately in sentences and use powerful adjectives.I know how to also use subordinating conjunctions and adverbial openers.

    My next steps is to add more quantity in my work and use adverbs to describe the verbs in my writing and use effective and figurative language.

    The purpose of the red bug is to help us learn new words or help us to use them words in our writing.To improve it, we should put up a QR code to a blog with some interesting words to use in our writing.
