Children return to school Mon 8th April

4Blue D&T

This half term, we have challenged the children make gliders in the style of World War 2 spitfire planes.

to do this the children have had to research the features of the plane and observe and sketch the shape. They had to measure the size of the parts accurately and ensure the body and the wings of the plane were in proportion.

They developed their cutting skills to create a prototype. This was constructed and then decoupaged to add detail.

What skills have you developed through this project? What have you done well? What could be improved if you were to do this again?
