5 White Rocket Scientists

We’ve enjoyed an exciting end to our science unit this week. Watch the video to find out more and answer the questions below.

Can you explain the chemical reaction which helped launch our rockets?

What conclusions did we reach with the rockets investigation?

What did you learn from testing our Mars probes?

  1. 1)Gravity helped because it helped pułk it down
2)we all found out that we put too much weight on our rockets so the parachutes did not work
3)I learnt that if your probe is heavy it will zoom to the ground and if it’s light it will slowly make its way down

  2. Can you explain the chemical reaction which helped launch our rockets ?
Gravity because it pulls stuff down we did it on the adventures playground
What conclusions did we reach with rockets investigation?
We reached and found out that we put to much weight on it so it hit the ground quickly.
What did you learn from testing our Mar probes?
I learned that when you make a probe it can’t be to heavy because when you drop it will hit the ground.

  3. [Q1] Can you explain the chemical reaction which helped launch our rockets?
[A1] It was Gravity pulling the rockets down to the centre of Mars (The Adventure Playground slide)
[Q2] What conclusions did we reach with the rockets investigation?
[A2] As the rocket was launching and flying to space, it went very quick as it had a lot of weight to and the Gravity was pulling it down to the centre of Mars. The less weight it has the more slowly it would land. Most of the rockets were successful because, of luck and most of them had crashed landed because it had a lot of weight to them like Hamaad’s , Adeena’s and Bolu’s. I would improve the covering of it like putting more tape on the cardboard but luckily it survived.
[Q3] What did you learn from testing our Mars probes?
[A3] I learnt that it takes a long time to build a probe and land it to Mars successfully. I also have learnt what the proper meaning of Gravity and and Air resistance. Gravity is the force that pulls down to the centre of Earth or any planet and Air resistance is a force that is caused by air and friction
Thank you for teaching about space Mr Mashford and Mrs Khan!

  4. Well done 5 White, I’m glad you all managed to save your probes from landing safely. If you had to do this again what would would you change and why?
