This week in science we have been learning about the life cycle of mammals.
Some of the children came up with their own games to test your knowledge of mammals. Can you play along?

There are only about 4,000 kinds of mammals. Mammals are everywhere! Polar bears live in very cold areas. Camels live in hot deserts. Moles live underground. Bats live in caves and flies live in the air. Dolphins live in the ocean, and so do whales.
Mammals are divided into 3 types, based on how they give birth and take care of their young.
1. Live young (Placental mammals) :Most mammals give birth to live young.
2.Marsupials:Marsupials are special types of mammals that carry their young ones in a pouch.e.g.kangaroo,koala and the opossum.
3.Egg laying:A few mammals lay eggs they are called monotremes.e.g.platypus and the long-not seed spiny anteater.
