5 White Space Nappies part 2
Today in 5 White we concluded our investigation into Space nappies.
We made our own nappy and tested how successful it was.

What went well?
What needs improving?
What will you do differently next time?
Lataya:I think the space nappy we created was good as it had 300ml
Malaikah:I actually think that the space nappy was great because first when we were designing the space nappy it was brilliant but when we actually created it,it didn’t come out like we thought it would be.So for the space nappy to actually reach to 300ml was something that shocked us.
Dennis: my one lasted into 900ml and I probably only thought it would only go to 300ml.
Sahkib:I made a space nappy want to 900ml.
Zeynab:I think it gone well but we tried aging and that called growth mind.What need improving We need more Material.I found out that the nappy in a black jumper fill up to 900 ml. The plomblem is that is heavy.

2)Next time to improve we need to make the nappy less loose so it doesn’t fall off when your doing you business because there will be no point of wearing it then.
3)Next time I will add a belt or straps just to make it tight UNLESS you want to see an astronaut peeing.😂😂😂
1) The things that went well are how absorbent the nappies were and how well we worked as a team during the making of the nappy and we had fun because Ryan an Murran dressed up and Murran put a nappy on her head.
2) What we need to improve is making are nappies a tiny bit bigger because if it is bigger then it will be more absorbant.
3) We will use a differnt material to ensure the nappy is more absorbant.

1) The absorbency ability of the nppy was well as it survives up until 250 mililiters.
The sponge and jogging bottoms helped the nappy obsorb all ot the water and I think it would be a good space napppy and it would obsorb a lot.
2)I think next time we need to use more absorbing materials like washing sponges.
We could also try to double layer our stuff.
3)I would do next time differently is with the jogging bottoms I will cut them and put four nappies in it for it to absorb.For babies 👶🏻.we can use like different materials and we could test out them with water 💦 and we could test by how long it can last with water

The thing that went well is that the space nappy absorbed all of the water up to 600and more ml. It has to be more padded down with fabrics. We can make sure that there is more fabric. Fathiya
The nappy had lots of fabrics to make sure that the water does not go through the nappy. We can make sure that the nappy is stuck together properly. Habiba
I think that went well was when we were testing if the nappy we designed could hold ml’s of water and it could hold a lot. I think our nappy needs improving by putting more materials especially fabrics. I will add more detail and add more materials to the nappy next time. Ahmed
Next time we will do it differently by changing the materials for example, sweat resistant it might as well absorbe water. – Farhaad
(2) What needs improving is that we need to only cover the water on the nappy because we soaked it when we did our testing and next time we need to put more nappies on the design so we have more Number 1 or Number 2 proctected.
What went well?
The thing that went well in our testing is that it survived up to 500ml of water and did not soak.We used our knowledge by placing a fabric underneath if it soaks or spills through.
What needs improving?
We needed to improve the level of security and tightness as the nappy could fall out of the skirt.Knowing this,we used tape to secure the nappy so that it does not fall off and float around the space shuttle.
What will you do differently next time?
We will secure it better with a staple so that the nappy does not detach from the skirt.Also,we will use stretchier jeans so that it is more comfortable for the astronaut and does not irritate or hurt them.
1.The things that went well is that the nappy was absorbent and could soak 😄in a large amount of liquid.😂We experimented how much liquid it could hold and we managed to record that it could hold 350ml of liquid however it could hold more but our table only recorded to 350ml.The material we used was covered at the bit where there would be liquid.😎
