5 White’s Visit to the Space Centre  ” To Infinity and beyond”

Today, Year 5 visited The National Space Centre, in Leicestershire.
What a wonderful experience they have had learning and gaining. A place where they brought their learning to life, a place where they developed their Science, ICT, History and D&T skills.

There was so much to do, games, shows and rooms to explore.

Below are a few pictures showcasing the day- share comments about your learning.

  1. Name 2 new facts you learnt today about Space?
  2. What can you tell me about the hard work an astronaut has to do?
  3. Can anyone tell us why we left with sore legs?

2 facts I have learned during the trip is that a meteor is made out of ice and rock and that saturns ring is made out of ice. One of the hard work the astronout has to do is have fast reactions because there might be a problem. We left with sore legs because of walking around so much.

    2) For years it was believed that Earth was the only planet in our solar system with liquid water. More recently, NASA revealed its strongest evidence.
2)the hardest thing is for a astronaut is weightlessness, sleeping, keeping track of time and dealing with body fluids.
