5Blue- Joy of movement Week 5

Today we looked at hydration. we have learnt how we can stay hydrated and why it is important. We discussed signs that might indicator we are dehydrated.

What is hydration? How can you ensure you are hydrated?

Which liquids should we be drinking as children? What should we avoid and why?

How do we lose the liquid levels in our body?

You should have 6 glasses if water and one of 1 milk each day. More water than any other drink is best.

We enjoyed exercising with Denis this week too.

Create a healthy drinks poster. What should we drink? What shouldn’t we drink. Explain why.

    Hydration is when we drink enough liquids.You should drink enough liquids.
    We should be drinking water and milk and we should avoid sport and energy drinks sugary drinks and more.
    We lose liquid my vomiting,sweating,breathing and unirating.

    Hydration is drinking the right liquids and the right amounts of it.
    We can ensure that we are hydrated by drinking the right amounts of the liquid you can have at your age
    As a child you should not drink energy drinks or sugary drinks because sugary drinks have lots of sugar and energy drinks have a lot of caffeine.
    We lose liquids by sweating or being sick

    Hydration is when you have enough liquids in your body and we should drink 6-8 glasses almost everyday.
    How can you ensure you are hydrated?
    You can ensure that you are hydrated by your urine.
    Which liquid should we be drinking as children?
    Water is a really good choice for children but milk and fruit juice is a good choice as well.

    How do we lose the liquid levels in our body?
    Our body is losing water by breathing, sweating and urinating.

    Hydration is the amount of what you drink. You won’t be tired or out of breath and will be energetic.
    We should be drinking lots of water, some milk, juice and we should avoid sugary drinks and definitely not energy drinks.
    We lose liquids by doing wee or vomiting.

    Hydration is the right amount of liquids. We should be drinking sugar free drinks, fruit and veg smoothies or drinks, milk and water. We should not drink sports energy drinks and sugary drinks and tea and coffee.

    Hydration is when you have enough liquids for that day and you have energy.
    How can you ensure you are hydrated?
    You can ensure your hydrated by going to the toilet regularly and drinking enough liquids.

    The liquids we can or should have are water , juice but shakes and fizz on special occasions.
    What should we avoid and why?
    Drinks we should avoid are Lucozade , Red Bull and other drinks.
    How do we lose the liquid levels in our body?
    We lose liquids in our body by vomiting , going to the toilet , sweating and diarrhea.

    Hydration is how much liquid we should drink. You can ensure you are hydrated by paying attention to the colour of your urine ot simply drinking at the 6 to 8 of more 150ml of water, at least 1 glass of milk a day.
    Which liquids should we be drinking as children? What should we avoid and why?
    The liquids we should drink at children is water, milk, fruit and vegetables juices and smoothies,sugar – free drinks and tea and coffee.
    We should avoid sugary drinks because they are high in sugar and sports and energy drinks e.g. lucozade,red bull and monster. They are 16+ drinks because they can be high in sugar also has high caffeine or stimulants.
    How do we lose the liquid levels in our body?
    We can lose liquid by going to the urinating, being sick,breathing,sweating.
