5Red Turgo Bastien inspired art

We used a range of media to create some fantastic abstract art work inspired by a Caribbean artist, Turgo Bastien

We have been learning all about the Caribbean islands and compared them to the UK. We looked at the terrain and climate of each country.

We then infered ideas from Bastiens artwork what can you see?

We discussed colours and moods we created a double page spread and annotated our learning.

After this we completed our own adstract faces like Bastiens artwork. We evaluated our pieces and added different materials.

After, we created all of our artwork we learnt about the Caribbean and the Windrush generation this lead to a lot of conversations and we produced double page spread.

We is 5red have enjoyed our project week so far. Keep an eye out for all our DT sewing project too.
