I learnt that in the 1900s there was a massive split between white people and black people and Cassie was not treated well because of the time. This is shown when Cassie bumped into Miss Lilian Jean and Cassie gets thrown into the road and is forced to apologise.

My favourite bit of this week was when we met the Zulu people and they were really kind and taught a lot of dancing and art to us! Also, I liked learning about the Zulu tribes and where it originated from and there battles against many countries like England.

I learned how Cassie felt in that time and I learned how segregation started

Cassie felt sad because miss Lilian bumped into her and gave her the foult and People that had the same skin colour would fell the same because they had no human rights to almost don’t do anything and when they were in the shop the owner would serve them last and saying bad things to them and they were discriminated all of the people of her type

I have gained by being resilient and I know how Cassie felt in the the story she felt sad and annoyed because white people were not allowed to be next to be black people. And the black people normaly sat at the back at the bus and the white people normally sit in the front of the bus and they didn’ show care to black people.

I would feel like Cassie if I were her because having no human rights and freedom of speech is illegal nowadays. Just because she bumped into Miss Lillian she had to apologise so many tines for nothing and because she was black she had to be forced on the road however she refused and got pushed on the road and all the townsfolk were smelling and laughing at her.

When Cassie enters the shop she felt disgusted because Barnett took the gentleman behind them.Cassie got thrown out of the shop after Cassie bumped into Lilly jeans and then Lilly jeans her dad came and thrown Cassie into the road.

I’ve learnt that the law wasn’t always fair and that there used to be a racial divide.I enjoyed pretending to be Cassie’s conscious as well as the Zulu assembly.I also know how Cassie now feels because of the law as well as the racial divide.

I feel bad for Cassie because she’s gets discriminated and she was just a child back then and Mr Barnett threw on the road and that was horrible and just because miss Lilian jean is white does not give power but in the olden times white people had the power.

The range of drama tasks gave my confidence a huge boost. Also if I was in cassies position I would have felt stressed because I would’ve not known what should I do.

I now know how Cassie would have felt. She would have felt annoyed because white people would have discriminated her and she never had the rights. I know Cassie never had the rights because Cassie bumped into Miss Lilian Jean, and Cassie had to say sorry.
