Finding the Time outside!
Today’s Maths lesson was extremely interesting as you were able to learn how to find times on a clock by creating your own clock outside! You used hoops and wrote the numbers inside the clock using chalk. You were able to use your previous understanding to identify ‘quarter to’ ‘half to’ ‘half past’ and ‘o’clock.’ Excellent work 3R!
Your question: A train leaves the Coventry station at fifteen minutes past 3 and comes back in 25 minutes. What time does it arrive? Use the mini clocks to help you if you need it.
The Coventry train arrives at 4:15
The Coventry train arrives at 20 to 4.
I have now tried again to get the answer correct and it’s 4:15
The Coventry train arrives at 3:40.
