Well done to the children who have produced these fantastic pieces of work during the half term.
This half term the children in 3 White have learnt how to use multiplication and division. They have learnt to multiply and divide a 2 digit number by a 1 digit number. They have also been looking at money and how to identifying its value. They have then used previous knowledge of addition and subtraction to begin adding and subtracting money. As a result most children should now be able to add and subtract money and identify the correct change needed. We have ended this term by moving on to problem solving, we have looked at Bar charts and Pictograms and answered mathematical problems.
This half term the children in 3 White have been looking at Myths and Legend. The children have compared myths from both ancient Greek and Roman mythology and created their own mythical beast. They have chronologically ordered their myth and used multi clause sentences, a range of sentences openers, punctuation and speech.
After we looked at a range of poems and how they can be composed. We looked at key features such as alliteration, rhyme and onomatopoeia. We then looked at Japanese Haiku poems. We learnt that these are short poems that do not need to be rhyme. We then created our own.
Topic & Science Stars
In Topic this half term children in 3 Whote have been learning about the Romans and their rule in Britain. They created a diary entry as if they were a Roman soldier to try and create a understand of thier lives and how difficult it could be. Then they compared Roman times to modern times. On the final unit the children then tested all their knowledge of the Romans by completing a quiz.

They have worked incredibly hard with their home learning this half term as we know it is not easy. They have shown great resilience and tenacity, important Broad Heath Values! and as you have all worked so hard, its even harder for us to choose an overall winner. So!
