All Around The World

4 Blue have had a wonderful first week back at school and are looking forward to making more learning magic this half term.

To get us started on our new Geography unit, we looked at the continents of the world, located the equator, and discussed the Northern and Southern hemispheres.

Using atlases, we found countries near the equator and created a key to show where they were on the world map. We also researched different countries in this region.

Explain what a hemisphere is.

What are some countries that are near the equator?

What would you like to learn about the world in Geography this half term?
