Creative Reception Red

It has been a very exciting week in Reception Red. The children have been learning all about sculptures from the past and present and understanding how different materials can be manipulated to create different effects.

Children learnt about Keith Jellum who made the Salmon sculpture in Oregon USA and the Sphinx of Giza. They developed their understanding of what sculptures are and used a range of art media to make their own.

    Re-creating the Sphinx of Giza was interesting. I enjoyed the different activities we were set to do from making sculptures to drawing.

    What an amazing week, Arifa really enjoyed learning about sculptures, and i also enjoyed having the opportunity to join in and get crafty, would love to to it again.
