Awesome Athletes win Sportshall Round 1

On the 9th November 2017 we took 30 of the schools finest athletes to the Excel leisure centre to compete against Grange Farm, Allesley Hall and Whoberley primary schools in the national sportshall athletics competition. The pupils took part in a mixture of track events (running) and field events (throwing & jumping). In every event we competed for points and the breakdown was as follows:

1st place = 8points

2nd place = 6points

3rd place = 4 points

4th place 2 points

During the event there were 12 track events and 12 field events. The events we won were the boys obstacle, girls obstacle, boys speed bounce, girls speed bounce, boys javelin, girls javelin, boys triple jump & girls triple jump. We waited nervously for the points to be counted from all of the event and they announced “2nd place with 118 Whoberley, and in first place with 148 BROAD HEATH!!!!”

  1. Even though that it was last week, I STILL CANT BELIEVE WE WON!!!! I tricked my mum as well πŸ˜‰ Uhhhhh well… I really enjoyed this and we won and I enjoyed this and we won! YEAH!A big well to all of the people who participated!

  2. I am very proud of the team BUT I also want people who represent this school to be humble and well behaved. I heard a couple of things that made me feel disappointed. I want the next round to be exemplary in term of behaviour please.

  3. This was such a great morning, everyone who went performed so well and put so much effort into their activities ⭐️ well done everyone and best of luck for round 2 πŸ€
