Staff have been monitoring safety over the few weeks and have noticed some behaviours that are rather dangerous. As a reminder to all families that use the Webster entrance: this is a working carpark as well as a pedestrian entrance. In order to keep everyone safe, both motorists and pedestrians need to take reasonable and responsible actions when using the carpark. This means taking precautions and treating the carpark like any other public road:
Pedestrians, do not encourage children to walk in front of, or around moving cars – this is not safe and could be lethal!
Motorists, do not pull out in front of pedestrians – Before driving please wait until there is a gap and use your indicators.
If you feel you require a permit please send a letter detailing the reasons why to the office and we will endeavour to support.
All permits must be reviewed each September.
It is the responsibility of all individuals that use the areas to ensure that they are being safe and aware of those around them. Parents using vehicles are being asked to arrive before 8.40am in the morning and 3.00pm in the afternoon. As a condition of use, permit holders are requested to wait until a majority of parents and children have left the area before exiting the carpark. Please let the member of staff on duty know if you require exiting the carpark earlier than the times requested and we will endeavour to support.
Conditions of use:
Individuals with a permit are allowed to park their cars. If you wish to put a case forward for a permit you must do so in writing to the office. There are however, specific criteria for permits to be allocated to parents.
You will be asked to exit the carpark if you are not displaying a permit or are in use of a permit not allocated to yourself.
We will continue to monitor the safety of all and if required permits may be revoked. Parents parking without a permit will be subject to a penalty.
