Cinderella in Nursery

This week in Nursery we have been learning about Cinderella. We found her shoe and measured lots of different feet until we found the shoe’s owner.

What this can you find at home that are as long as your foot?

We also made a delicious banana cake for the ball.

Why not try making it at home.

You will need:

115g self raising flour

115g caster sugar

115g margarine

Half a teaspoon of baking power

2 mashed bananas

Instructions

Mix all of the ingredients up until they are smooth and look like melted ice-cream. We mixed it with a wooden spoon making sure we did 10 stirs then we blitzed it with an electric whisk. Next put it in a pre heated over at 180 degrees for around minutes. If you are not sure if it’s done put a skewer into the cake, if it comes out clean then it’s ready! Cool for around 30 minutes then it is ready to eat.

We made invitations and we worked hard to find Cinderella’s lost phonemes.

Finally we had the fancy dress ball with dancing and games and, of course, cake!

We finished with a story and we used the ‘o’ sound to turn Mr Harwood off so that he could go to sleep.
