City of Culture half term fun: The Walk

Head to Coventry City Centre on Wednesday 27th October to see a giant puppet!

“Little Amal”, a 3.5 metre-tall puppet of a young refugee girl, created by the acclaimed Handspring Puppet Company represents all displaced children, many separated from their families. Little Amal will have walked across Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and the UK, heading for a finale event in Manchester, England in November 2021. She will travel a remarkable 8,000km in total, celebrating the power of art and shared humanity wherever she goes. 

She will walk through the city centre on her way to Manchester. Follow the link for more information and do send photos into school if you do go!

      She has walked the whole way across Europe but she took a boat from Calais in France to Dover in England. Great that you were there!
