Dol y Moch

Dear parents/guardians,

Myself (Mr Anderson) and Miss Shilton will be going on the trip to Dol-y-Moch. I have included some information for parents/guardians for the trip.

The day we will be departing for Dol-y-Moch is Monday 16^th April 2018. Can you bring your child to school at 11:30am with all of their belongings for the trip, allowing them to have lunch before we leave. We will be leaving promptly at 12:30pm and the journey will take approximately 3-4 hours. The return journey is Friday 20^th April 2018 and the expected arrival back at Broad Heath will be 1:15pm. Can all parents/guardians please arrive 10/15 minutes prior to arrival. If there are any drastic changes to the arrival time we will update the blog to inform you.

Item that are essential for the children to bring are as follows:

• A waterproof coat
• A set of casual clothes for the evening.
• 2 pairs of trainers – one for the evening and one for the activities, which are ok to get muddy and wet.
• 2-3 pairs of trousers for the daytime activities – NO JEANS
• Plenty of socks – including some thick socks for the daytime activities.
• Nightwear
• 2 towels (1 large)
• A plastic bag/bin bag – for dirty washing
• Personal toiletries – toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo and soap.

Please pack all of these essentials into a soft holdall or small suitcase that is easy to carry as the children will have to carry these for a small part of the journey.

The site does open a small tuck shop in the evening where items are prices at 60p. I recommend children bring no more than £15 in change with them, if they wish to purchase any items in the evening. Also Dol-y-Moch strongly recommends not to bring electrical equipment or mobile phones as there is no signal at all on site. I will also be updating the school blog regularly.
