Children return to school Mon 8th April

What a day! The whole year 5 team transported back in time and found ourselves in the groovy Sixties! The day consisted of all things ‘Sixties’ the children’s costumes were fantastic, we we’re so impressed with their effort and energy today!     We did Ben day dot patterns used by Roy Lichtenstein.
    The monster mash song was created by Bobby Pickett.
    We leant the difference between Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.

    I loved 1960s day ❤️❤️ It was so fun my favourite part was the protesting and my banner was FREEDOM IS LOVE 💓 it was so fun i also liked the dancing I learnt all about mods rockers and hippies I would love to do it again.

    We did just dance.
    Three facts that I learnt was:
    Roy Lichtenstein used Ben day dots.
    He also used only primary colours not secondary colours.
    Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein both were pop artists in the 1960.
