Friday Egyptian Day in Year 3.

Wow what a fantastic day we have had in Year 3 today. We celebrated Egyptian Day and had so much fun. We started the day learning where Egypt is. We looked at the surrounding countries and the continent it is in. We researched about Tutankhamun’s tomb and the importance of the discovery. We also wrote our names in Egyptian hieroglyphics. During the day we created Canopic jars and learned why the Egyptians preserved their organs in them. Finally, we ended the day by using toilet paper to mummify ourselves and created our own Egyptian dance.

What did you enjoy the most today? Why?
