Good Vibrations

Year 4 have been learning about sound.

We have been busy investigating how sound travels through different materials and also, how instruments can alter sounds based on the size and width of stings, holes being covered or the amount of beads in a maraca.

Some children made a film to try and explain how sound travels.

I want to know:

What key words were used in the video and what do they mean?

What other words could have been used to explain how sound travels?

How does sound travel?

What did you find out about sounds made from different instruments?

What ways can we make sure a test is fair when investigating sound travelling through different materials?
