Health Week

1 White have had a great week learning how to keep ourselves healthy.

We learnt the names of the food Groups and how they help our bodies. We know we need to the right amount of each food group to keep us healthy.

We learnt the names of different fruits and vegetables and went on a treasure hunt around school to find as many as we can. We also know we need to drink lots of water to keep us healthy.

Yesterday we made some healthy snacks. We really enjoyed the fruit kebabs and we discovered we like lots of different exotic fruits. We co-operated with each other to make pizza bagels it was great fun!

  1. We should eat food rich in carbohydrates like bread, rice, vegetables, fruits and protein like dairy, cheese, chicken, lentils, egg and little bit of sugary and fatty foods like chocolates, ice creams and cake.
