What was the main reason this story was written?

Why is it important that we reduce, reuse, recycle?

Do you know the average household in the UK produces more than a tonne of waste every year. Put together, this comes to a total of 31 million tonnes per year, equivalent to the weight of three and a half million double-Decker buses, a queue of which would go around the world two and a half times.

1.the main reason of this story is not to make junk and to make other people clean it.
2.recycilling can prevent the waste of potentially useful materials and reduce the consumption of fresh raw material thereby reducing: energy usage, air pollution (for incineration), and water pollution (from landfilling)
