Good morning Year 4! Hope you are all well and had a lovely weekend. 😃

This term in English, we are looking at Historical Fiction. This links to our learning of the Blitz, as we have been looking at the story ’The Thing Upstairs’.

Using a dictionary, define these terms:

Ration, Shilling, Allotment

    Ration – Ration means to control the amount a person can have.
    Shilling – A shilling is an old British coin.
    Allotment – A plot of land that you can buy or rent.

    The Germans were photographing England because they were getting ready for an invasion.

    Maggie felt dejected because her dad was hiding in the attic and Maggie thaught her dad was fearless and powerful.
