Holiday Homework!

Hello Reception.

 

I hope you are all enjoying your half term holiday. Next term is going to be even more fun and challenging so get ready to learn your Alien (Sudo/Nonsense) words.

Watch this video and see if you can read them…remember these words don’t make sense, so have fun!

Remember to read your book (Parents or siblings) please ask your child questions about the book. e.g. How does this character feel?, what can you see in the pictures?. This will help your child understand the book.

 

Homework;

Maths

Can you independently write and solve these sums using an +, – and =?

10+10=

8+8=

11+10=

15+6=

18-9=

10-5=

8-5=

Literacy

Can you write a story about your favourite story? make sure you use exciting adjectives and describe how the character feels: Jack went up the long green beanstalk. He was very tired when he reached the top.

Can you write these sentences on a piece of paper and add the missing punctuation?

Liz went outside to look for Pete the cat    

What is your favourite TV show    asked Grandma    

Can you add speech marks in the correct place? Remember speech marks help you understand when a character is speaking.

Look at those poor flowers said Tara.

If we help it will look fantastic!

Broad Heath is a fantastic school said Mr Mahmood.

Mr Harwood, Mrs Dahil and Mrs Penavega are super Teachers.
